A message from the Director of Dr Williams’s Library

"In this day and age all institutions need supporters and there is no doubt that specialised libraries need them more than most.   In a world where libraries are competing for limited resources, we need our Friends to proclaim the importance of the work we do.   I know when seeking support for Dr Williams’s Library from grant making bodies and other institutions how important it is to be able to point to a body of Friends for evidence of wider support for the Library.   Many readers benefit from using the Library, in many cases without charge.   I ask you to consider helping the Library by becoming a Friend.   Without the help of Friends the Library would be increasingly restricted in the work that it can do."
